Join us at the picnic shelter to hike the Mound Trail to Chickadee Rock. This 1.2-mile looped trail has a fairly flat and level surface with slight inclines. It goes through the woods and returns along the road. On average, this hike may take about 1 hour.
A pit toilet (non-flush) and a drinking fountain are available at the picnic shelter where we will meet.
Plan: Meet at the stairway/kiosk parking lot. A vehicle admission pass is required for entry and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival.
This event is recommended for all abilities and ages; please leave pets at home. This event will happen in any weather, rain or shine. Dress according to the weather and consider bringing a water bottle, snacks, boots, insect repellent and rain gear.
